Important dates for Scans
Fetal Reassurance Scan - 9 Weeks to 18 Weeks £50
There are many and varied reasons why ultrasound scans are performed throughout pregnancy.
In the vast majority of cases, there are clinical indications such as when monitoring the baby’s growth. When a mother has had medical conditions that might affect the baby, such as diabetes, more frequent ultrasound examinations may be required.
From time to time we are asked to do a scan because you are anxious about something and you want reassurance.
Most pregnancies proceed without problems. Whenever if you have any doubts we are here to provide the reassurance that you need.
We will show you your baby moving in the womb, the number of babies you are carrying and identify the heartbeat.
Most of the time we can offer this scan with a short waiting list, therefore reducing anxiety. We recommend that you come with a full bladder. This scan does not replace your NHS scan it complements it and offers extra reassurance. If an ultrasound reveals that the baby has a heartbeat, the odds of miscarriage decrease.
This package consists of:
- Appointment time approx 15 mins.
- Scan Period: 9 – 18 weeks.
- 2 x b/w Photos in 2D.
- Confirm number of Babies.
- Identify Heartbeat.
- Allow you time to watch your baby moving in the womb.
Before you call please could you confirm with your Husband/Partner/Boyfriend, etc, that you want the scan, the NHS does not let you choose your scan appointments i.e. you take what date your given, we try to be as accommodating as possible and its not always possible to give you an appointment on a day that suits you, please could you bear this in mind.

2D Gender Determination Scan £60
This scan is performed after 18 weeks and is to determine the sex of the baby only.
On an ultrasound scan a female fetus will show three parallel bright white lines within the genital area, which denotes the labia.
The absence of the penis must not be taken as sufficient evidence of the fetus being a girl. The 3-lines sign which denotes the labia in the fetus is a very valid and accurate indication of the female gender.
The male fetus will express a round bulbous area within the genital area which is the scrotum and penis. This sometimes can be seen on screen as an appearance similar to a profile of a small snail.
